The Department invites local applications for the following full-time positions available from August 1, 2008.
Preference will be given to those who have English proficiency, enthusiasm, extensive experiences in ESL/EFL teaching, can identify themselves with our educational concepts can be absorbed in academic research.
1. English Literature, American Literature, or Cultural Studies (full associate professor/ assistant professor/ professor)
Applicants should either hold a Ph.D. degree in English Literature (or a related field) or will obtain a Ph.D. degree at the end of July. 2. Linguistics (full associate professor/assistant professor/ professor) Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Linguistics or will obtain a Ph.D. degree at the end of July. 3. TEFL [Teaching English as a Foreign Language] (full associate professor/assistant professor/ professor) Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language (TEFL/TESOL) or will obtain a Ph.D. degree at the end of July. Successful candidates will be required to teach language and content courses to English and non-English majors in addition to courses in their area of specialization.

2.Photocopy of Ph.D. degree certificate (or an official letter indicating that the degree will be received by July 31, 2008) and a transcript. (Both should be authorized if they are from an overseas university.)
3.Proof of previous employment.
4.Photocopy of ID (or passport photo page) and a recent photo.
5.English autobiography (including fields and specialties) and a brief syllabus for a proposed course.
6.List of publications, presentations, and research projects in the past three years.
7.Copy of Ph.D. dissertation and other representative publications in English. 8.Three letters of recommendation signed and sealed across the flap, should be included in the application packet.
